This information will be provided under Section 7 of the Data Protection Act 1998. For those who are no longer resident in the UK but still need Criminal Record information for application for a US visa, they should apply as above in writing to the police station nearest to their last UK residence. There will be a charge for this service which, under the Data Protection Act 1998, must be 'reasonable'.
