Working
with the Home Office agency, The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB),
Life Opportunities is an umbrella organisation able to provide a
criminal record checking service for employers, charities &
voluntary groups. We do this under the banner 'Criminal Record Check'.
The service
aims to provide protection for children and other vulnerable people
from those who may wish to harm them and to support employers in
making informed recruitment decisions. Organisations who may benefit
from this service include:
Care Home &
Agency Staff.
Finance Houses.
Private Hire
Firms.
Private Schools.
Leaders of Voluntary
organisations.
Recruitment
Agencies.
GP Practice
Staff.
Workers who
deal with money.
Security Staff.
Insurance Company
Staff.
Child Care Providers.
Educators.
Youth Organisations.
There
are many pieces of legislation which
affect both individuals and organisations ability and need to access
Disclosures using the Disclosure service. These include The Police
Act 1997, The protection of Children Act, The Care Homes Regulations,
The Childrens Home Regulations, the Care Standards Act and the Rehabilitation
of Offenders Act.
Disclosure
information comes from many sources including the Police National
Computer, the Department of Health and the Department for Education
and Skills.
As an
employer of a large number of people ourselves, many of whom work
with vulnerable people, we understand the needs of similar organisations
and provide top quality, best price services.
As part
of the recruitment process many organisations invest heavily to
get the right person for the job. Is having sight of a Police Record
going to give you that extra peace of mind?
