Request Application Pack.
It is a requirement
of the Criminal records Bureau that you follow their Code
of Practice. As result you will be asked whether your Organisation
has Policies in place for (i) The Recruitment of ex-offenders
and (ii) The secure storage, handling, use, retention &
disposal of Disclosures. If not, Life Opportunities will support
you to draft these documents. You will be required to provide
copies of the documents with an assertion that you have read,
understood and adopted them as policy documents.
|
|
| 3.
It is advisable to request that any suitable applicant complete
the supplied application form at interview as you verify their
identity using specific documentation. The documents must be
original documents. |
|
| 4. Once
the applicant has completed the form and you have made an offer
of employment, you are then required to return it to the Registered
Body, Life Opportunities, who will process the application on
your behalf. |
|
| 5. On
receipt of the application documents the Criminal Records Bureau
will process the application within 2-4 weeks (Depending on
the type of Disclosure required). |
|
| 6.
A copy of the Disclosure
will be sent direct to the applicant and to the Registered Body,
Life Opportunities. Life Opportunities dedicated staff will
forward this to the requesting body under Private & Confidential
cover. |
